2015 Elgin Heinz Outstanding Teacher Award Ceremony of the U.S.-Japan Foundation

On September 21, Deputy Consul General Nobuhiro Watanabe attended the 2015 Elgin Heinz Outstanding Teacher Award Ceremony of the United States-Japan Foundation which recognizes exceptional teachers who further mutual understanding between Americans and Japanese. Ms. Saya Okimoto McKenna, Teacher of History and English at Head-Royce School, and Mr. Yo Azama, Teacher of Japanese Language at North Salinas High School, received this year's award. The ceremony was attended by many dignitaries as well as Ms. McKenna and Mr. Azama's students to celebrate their achievements.
