10th Annual Millbrae Japanese Culture Festival

On Sunday, October 4, the 10th Annual Millbrae Japanese Culture Festival was held in Millbrae. Consul General Jun Yamada greeted the audience during the opening ceremony. This year, the festival welcomed a special guest from Japan in honor of Millbrae’s Sister-City: Mayor Kawata of Hanyu City in Saitama Prefecture. Mayor Kawata greatly enjoyed celebrating this year’s festival with the community.
The Consulate operated its Japan Information Booth to provide information on Japanese culture, sightseeing, and studying in Japan. Numerous performances including koto, martial arts, singing, and Japanese dance were held on stage.
