Welcome back reception for 2015 JET Program returnees

On Thursday, October 22, Consul General Jun Yamada hosted the annual welcome back reception for 2015 and 2014 JET Program returnees at his official residence. Joining the Consul to welcome 24 JETs back were members of the JET Alumni Association of Northern California (JETAANC), leaders in the Bay Area Japanese community, and representatives from Japan-related businesses.
After speeches from the Consul General and others, returnees were able to mingle with other returnees and guests, including Japanese businesses that are interested in hiring candidates like JET returnees who have deep understanding of Japanese culture and society as well as facility with the language.
