On Saturday, February 20th, Deputy Consul General Watanabe attended as a judge the 1st Greater Sacramento Area Japanese Speech Contest
organized by the California Association of Japanese Language Teachers at CSU Sacramento. With families, friends and teachers in audience, the total of 16 high school and university/college students participated in the Contest and demonstrated their Japanese language skills.
