Conferment Ceremony of the Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Dr. Kay Takeyama Dilena

On Tuesday, February 23, Consul General Yamada conferred Dr. Kay Takeyama Dilena (Founder of the Dilena Takeyama Center for the Study of Japan and Japanese Culture at San Francisco State University) the Foreign Minister’s Commendation in honor of the 70th anniversary of the end of the war at the Consul General’s official residence. Dr. Dilena was recognized for her contributions to the strengthening of friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and the United States through her longstanding efforts at San Francisco State University.
