Reception in Honor of the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival

On Thursday, June 16, Consul General Jun Yamada hosted a reception in recognition of the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival (NCCBF). During his speech, Consul General Yamada congratulated the festival on successful completion of the 49th NCCBF held this April and expressed his high hopes for the 50th Anniversary Festival next year. Consul General Yamada and the festival chairs also thanked the generous sponsors of the festival for their continued support. Attendees included the 49th NCCBF Executive Committee, the 50th NCCBF Planning Committee, Japanese company festival sponsor representatives, and members of the media. About 40 people attended the reception.
The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival attracts about 200,000 attendees annually, making it the second largest Cherry Blossom Festival in the United States, after the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. NCCBF will celebrate its 50th Anniversary next year and we hope that you will be able to attend!
