Consul General Yamada encourages the Japanese local mascot characters

On Friday, July 22, Consul General Yamada received a courtesy call by Japanese local mascot characters participating in J-POP Summit Festival 2016 for promoting their home areas in Japan. The mascots are “Sana-Sena-Bona (Paper Bag Fairies)” from Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, “Koakkuma & Akkuma”from Sapporo City, “Zombear” from Otaru City, Hokkaido, “Umebara Hibari” from Ibaraki Prefecture and “Asaku-Samurai” from Asakusa District, Tokyo. Consul General Yamada encouraged them to share the unique attractions of Japanese local cities & towns with the people of the Bay Area.
