“IMPRESSIONS of JAPAN” Multi-Layered Photography Exhibit
2016/9/7

The Japan Information and Cultural Center at the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco is proud to present “Impressions of Japan” Multi-Layered Photography Exhibit featuring Peter Tonningsen. Tonningsen is a locally based photographer who takes inspiration from modern and traditional Japanese architecture, history, and art. His photography showcases collage-like pieces of urban metropolitan landscapes as well as traditional Japanese architecture by using a photo technique called multi-layered imagery. Multi-image layering is where different photographs are layered and edited over each other to produce one complete piece.
This exhibit will be displayed in the JICC gallery from Tuesday, September 20th until Thursday, October 28th.
