On Friday, November 4, Deputy Consul General Nagayoshi attended the 2016 Elgin Heinz Outstanding Teacher Award Ceremony of the United States-Japan Foundation which recognizes exceptional teachers who further mutual understanding between Americans and Japanese. Mr. Koichi Sano, a teacher of Japanese Language at Abraham Lincoln High School, received this year’s award. The ceremony was attended by many of Mr. Sano’s current and former students who celebrated this great accomplishment with him.
