On Monday, December 9, Consul General Uyama visited Crescent City, CA and delivered opening remarks at the welcome ceremony for the Crescent City-Rikuzentakata Leadership Summit, which was held over 3 days and made possible by a grant from the Embassy of the United States of America in Japan. At the summit, citizens representing the sister city relationship between Rikuzentakata and Crescent City/Del Norte County exchanged views on solutions to their common challenges and strengthened their friendship through various activities and events.
