From Tuesday, January 7 to Thursday, January 9, Consul General Yo Osumi attended CES 2025 in Las Vegas.
On Tuesday January 7, Consul General Osumi attended the “Japan-Nevada Collaboration Event & Reception at CES 2025,” a consulate event co-hosted with the Nevada state government.

While attending the conference, Consul General Osumi also visted the exhibition booths of Japanese companies participating in CES (Panasonic, Hitachi, Sony Honda Mobility, Komatsu, Kubota, AGC, Koito, Kose Corporation, FORUM8, JETRO’s Japan Pavilion etc.) and had engaging discussions with company representatives.

On Thursday, January 9, Consul General Osumi attended and delivered remarks at the “Future of Manufacturing Conference” hosted by CADDi and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) San Francisco office during the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Representatives from Tokyo Electron and Yamaha Motor Ventures spoke and participated in the panel discussion. Japanese manufacturing industry representatives discussed how application of digital technologies is changing manufacturing in Japan.
During his remarks, Consul General Osumi expressed his hope that Japan's strengths in manufacturing, including craftsmanship and artisanship, would be further enhanced through digital technologies like AI, and that Japan's manufacturing industry will continue to be transformed through new collaborations.
