The Two Stages of Applying for JET

Application:  

All American citizens applying for the JET Program must submit their application through the JET Program USA's Online Application Portal. The application portal will open in the fall and applicants may begin filling out their application and submitting their documents at that time. Details for each year's application process will be available in the online application portal once the portal opens.

After all the documents are submitted and the deadline has passed, applications are reviewed and scored and succesful candidates move on to the interview stage.
 

Interview:

Candidates who pass the initial screening stage are interviewed for final selection at the location they indicate on their application. Interview sites cannot be changed without the consent of the Embassy's JET Program Office. Applicants will be notified of the results of their interview in April.
